ETC: Get a Grippe

Funny, calling this stupid cold "the grippe" -- a name I've always found rather quaint and charming -- doesn't make me feel better at all.

Yes, I'm sick.

Worse, young Master Sam is sick. For the third (THIRD!) time in his young career. And when young Master Sam is sick... well, let me try to paint a picture for you. Do the words "bellowing, screaming, wheezing, sneezing, hacking, snot-streaked, tear-stained, drool-soaked mess" conjure up any visuals for you?

Also? I'm not allowed to cough EVER, because apparently this enrages His Highness.

On top of that? The only cough suppressant that nursing women are allowed to take is utterly useless. Yes, I'm talking about you, Benylin Nightime [sic] Formula.

It's been three days and three nights. Pray for me. Pray for us all.

Of course, seconds after I posted this, the little stinker smiled beatifically in his sleep, and now he's lying here snoring away like a peaceful asthmatic little angel.

Enough with the mind games, Sam! You win!

Oh, you poor woman! You and Master Sam have my deepest sympathies!

Honestly, I would try to just take the good stuff. I was also ultra-careful with our first baby but only a small fraction of the medication gets into the breastmilk (possible side effect of making HIM sleepy)-and if you don't want to take the chance, you could pump and dump...

Just trying to think of some helpful ideas-but I totally feel you sister.
