Happy Holidays!

A joyous season to you all.

No, I'm not signing off till the new year. For one thing, I have my final two books to log. And for another thing, in case you hadn't guessed it, I've got busy fingers that like to type.

So next week, if you're spending quality time with the family and things start to get to you -- and you're worried another visit to the eggnog trough might appear unseemly -- head on over to Mama Doppelganger's, where things may be dysfunctional, but from a nice, safe arm's length.

Till then, happy winter-mas.

I'm so excited that I just found this blog through the BoB awards!

I have a very similar goal this year to read the greatest fiction ever written. And of course, I'm going to blog about it, but not on my regular blog (it's not really up my reader's alley). I have a new one called It's All About the Book(http://itsallaboutthebook.blogspot.com).

I've just set it up so I can get rolling in 2006, but as soon as I get my blogroll up and running, you are the first one on it!. In the meantime, I can't wait to see what you've read and how you've approached your blog.

ps. Congrats on achieving your GOAL!!

Thanks, Libby! And Anita!

So... I'm going to assume that the dearth of comments about the graphic in this post is because snowglobes depicting men tossing small children down a well? We've all seen those before?

Dang. You people are JADED.

Seen it? Dude, I've lived it.

Just kidding. Probably.

Happy holidays!

Okay, well I just saw it for the first time, but now if I write about it, it's gonna look like I'm just responding to your jaded comment.

But I will say, I sat here looking at it for a few minutes, thinking, "that can't actually be what I'm looking at, can it?"

Happy Christmas! Have loved the site this year after fiding it through Damn Hell Ass Kings. One of my new year's resolutions for 2006 is to read more, and your blog has definitely inspired me to read widely and well, and also to blog about it all!

Somehow I just mentally erased those children and the well. I thought it was two guys fishing. I really did.

Goes to show you how your brain just fills in what it wants to see . . .

Merry Christmas, Doppleganger!

Try to refrain from tossing random children down a well - or at least try to try.

Damn. I thought I was just imagining that. I'm, um, relieved? to know that I wasn't going crazy. But, damn! Tossing children down a well? Where does one find such images?

Kay, I rely on the mister to feed me these random bits of internet weirdness. He's a professional blogger (he actually gets PAID to do this, can you believe it?), so he's pretty good at it.

Thanks for the holiday wishes, all! We had a great Christmas and plan to coast through the week on residual holiday cheer (aka booze and chocolate). I hope you all had a fantastic holiday, whatever you celebrate!
