ETC: A Face That Possibly Only a Mother Could Love

I feel like I've been MIA 'round these parts lately. Young Master Sam has been quite under the weather since last week -- due to either x-treme teething or a strong reaction to his vaccinations, or with his luck, probably both -- and man, it hearkened me back to his early months, when I truly believed that I'd given birth to the most crotchety human alive.

Fortunately, Sam's once again feeling large and in charge and full of his customary vim (and also vigour), so I don't have to feel guilty about posting this pic I found in our photo archives.

I believe this photo was taken when Sam was around three months old. Now, I normally think my boy is photogenic as all get-out, but even I have to admit that this is not his best look. I don't know if it's because he's obviously having a "fat day." I don't know if it's because he was feeling tired and slumpy, hence the droopy posture that's causing his face and chin to look like they're melting down his neck and shoulders. I don't know if it's the stunned look on his face. And I don't know if it's the terribly unflattering tie-dye T-shirt.

All I know is that when I happened across this shot, I laughed till I cried for five minutes.

Aww, poor Sam! He has definitely had more flattering pictures taken of him, but the cheeks still slay me. Be sure to save this one for his future wife.

You mean you've been neglecting us to take care of your son? Have you no shame, woman?

That is the CUTEST bad picture I've ever seen! It gives my kindergarten school picture a run for its money!
