Goddamn Fucking Motherhumping Blogger

I just spent ages writing a post that -- not to blow my own horn -- was fairly funny, and of course Blogger crashed while I tried to post it. You always hear about this happening to other people, but you never think it's going to happen to you.

I'm going to bed. Tomorrow will be a better day. Right?

Rage... I hate when that happens. I hope the Blogger gods are good to you today.

Oh, and first!

There are many reasons I abandoned Blogger. This is but one of them.

You have my condolences because to have composed something only to see it vanish before your very eyes is absolutely tragic. And enraging.

sorry for the loss. I can feel your pain, though I don't use blogger. I always write out my entries on Word and save them. Then I cut and paste them.

I always write my entries in Word, too, so that doesn't happen. Totally worth it.

Timon and Exxie you have just made my sister's enemies list for your smugness. You have been warned. Now, you will sleeping with one eye open because the other one will be swollen shut from her fist. I've seen it before.

I wasn't trying to be smug, just agreeing that the cut and paste is a good thing to do. I've had other non-blogger instances where such things have happened, so I know the pain. I meant no harm...I don't want to be on the enemies list :(

Heh. Exxie, there is no (official) enemies list, but even if there were, you definitely wouldn't be on it. I totally took your suggestion at face value, but I have this funny hangup about writing my posts in Word first, because I find that when I cut and paste them into Blogger, I hate the formatting of the punctuation, and it's too much work to fix every single comma and whatnot.

(Yes, I do tend to fixate on the tiny things.)

I *hate* when that happens!

If you use Firefox, there's a neat little blogging extension called Performancing. It allows you to compose your entries off-line and save them as notes, AND the formatting stays the same when you cut and paste. Adding pics can be a little problematic, so I do that directly from Blogger, when it deigns to let me do so.
