ETC: Blog Posts Don't Get Much More Stereotypical Than This
It's been a busy week. Which is probably why my dreams ran amok all last night. Zombies, mutants, cannibals, hidden underground bunkers, deadly meteor showers. Good end-of-the-world stuff. And at the end of it all, the sun went supernova. Pretty awesome, especially from someone who usually dreams about shopping for shoes. Sensible, brown shoes.

Came across your blog: I have a friend, of a friend, (in the literary biz/new york)etc..that says this writer is up and coming and is not even published yet; creating quite a buzz. I checked out her page, it's pretty cool. FYI

Are you reading Cormac McCarthy's The Road? Because man, I had those dreams the first night I started reading it. That book really gets under your skin, in a creepy creepy way.
or maybe you've got a fever, maybe a barely perceptible low-grade fever that spikes while you're sleeping. Fevers make your sleeping life more interesting.

Oh, lordy, no. Not yet anyway. I'm still steeling myself for that one. It could take a while.

I didn't know that. It might explain things. Last night was another crazy night. For some reason, Sarah Vowell was in my dream, and until then I didn't realize that she even featured in my unconscious. In my dream she was kind of a crybaby. And a bit of a troublemaker. I can't remember what the trouble was, but I remember achieving one of those transcendental states of pissed-off-ness that you only get to in your dreams. Exciting!
Back to normal. Last night I dreamt that I was working in a boring cube-farm straight out of Office Space, even down to -- I kid you not -- the TPS reports. What's weird is that my job in real life is actually pretty interesting. I don't understand dreams at all.
Though now that I recall more of my dream, I seem to recall that I built a blanket fort inside my cube.
