What I don't get is the question mark. Because it might be a girl? If so, would the price be higher or lower, do you think?

i think the price depends on what you want. Like a girl would be super expensive for me because i already have four boys...
I think the question mark makes it seem like a hostess passing around a plate. "Would you care for a newborn baby boy?"
